I went to the Penang immigration Department today to renew my passport. I was told by the customer service, a pleasant lady, that there is not renewal anymore. You would get a new passport instead. She asked me to bring 2 passport size photos and a photostated IC, and purchased the form from her with RM1.00. I should have prepared those requirement since it was not the first time! I didn’t think of it!
As I was wondering whether to do it today or tomorrow.. I really hope to get it done today as I don’t want to come another round. It was not easy to get a parking space there. I would rather find a proper parking lot than park wherever it looks right.
I walked out from the PIP and headed down the Pitt Street, scanning around for photo shop. Ah ha! I found there is one at last. RM 17 for 4 instant photos plus a soft copy in CD.
3.50pm
Went back. Get the number. Instantly I was called before I even stepped into the area (from the customer service counter). Really Efficient. Within 3 min, I got the whole thing done. I was expecting there would be a long queue, and it would take few hours.. It turned out to be really speedy. Really thank God for such a smooth procedure. I am looking forwards for my new passport tomorrow!
